Rapira Events Ltd are back and presenting the Crowded House Bar & Eatery Taranaki Explosion on Saturday 24th May 2025 at TSB Stadium.

There will be an amazing double-header main event on this card. Local police officer / professional boxer Waitohu Rapira-Ngarewa will attempt to remain undefeated in when she fights Ayisha Abied of Auckland.

These two ladies have fought each other in Muay Thai in 2021 and Abied took away a points decision. Rapira-Ngarewa is obviously motivated to avenge this loss on her home turf.

Our co-main event sees local Tony Dickson take on rugby league legend Sione Faumuina in a corporate boxing bout. People will be fascinated to see a local take on an elite athlete like Sione.

9x other corporate boxing fights between well-known locals will complete a stellar card. Don’t blink on the amazing line-up!

Event promoter Sam Rapira says that this annual event at the TSB Stadium is a one-of-a-kind operation. The locals really get behind the contestants and the energy in the stadium that night is electric!
